The Islamic Foundation in Prague warmly congratulates all Muslims on the occasion of the arrival of the blessed month of Ramadan and announces the following:
Precise astronomical calculations confirm that the new moon of Ramadan 1446 H will occur on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 00:45 UTC (03:45 local time in Mecca). The crescent moon is expected to be visible on the same evening.
Based on this, the blessed month of Ramadan will begin on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
Furthermore, the foundation announces that the Isha and Taraweeh prayers will be held at the “Černý Most” mosque one hour after the Isha prayer time, starting from the first night of Ramadan.
