The Islamic Foundation in Prague warmly congratulates all Muslims on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and announces the following: Precise astronomical calculations of the lunar crescent of the month of Shawwal, 1446 AH, confirm that its conjunction will occur on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 10:58 UTC (13:58 local time in Mecca), and the crescent will be visible on Saturday, 29th of Ramadan, 1446 AH (March 29, 2025) in North America and parts of South America.
Based on this, the beginning of the month of Shawwal (Eid al-Fitr) falls on Sunday, March 30, 2025.
The Eid al-Fitr prayer will be held at the “Černý most” Mosque – Prague 9 at two times (Daylight Saving Time):
First time: 7:30 AM (for men only)
Second time: 9:00 AM (for families and women)
