The Islamic Foundation in Prague congratulates all Muslims on the arrival of the blessed month of Ramadan and announces the following:
- Based on precise astronomical calculations, the conjunction of the new moon of Ramadan 1447 AH will occur on Tuesday, 17 February 2026, at 12:01 PM GMT (3:01 PM Makkah time), corresponding to the 29th of Shaʿbān 1447 AH. Therefore, the new moon will not be visible after sunset on that day.
The first day of Ramadan 1447 H will thus be Thursday, 19/2/2026.
- The Islamic Foundation in Prague further announces that the ʿIshāʾ and Tarāwīḥ prayers will be held at the “Černý most” Mosque 30 minutes after the adhān of the ʿIshāʾ prayer, starting from the first night of Ramadan.
- The Foundation also invites the faithful to attend the daily communal ifṭār, which will be organized throughout the month of Ramadan at the “Černý most” Mosque, Prague 9
