“There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.”
Fasting, remembering Allah (dhikr), supplication, recitation of the Qur\u2019an, acts of charity, and other forms of worship during these days carry multiplied rewards.
The peak of these days is the Day of \u02bfAraf\u0101t (the 9th day of the month), considered the most noble day of the year. Whoever fasts on this day with faith and hope for reward is granted forgiveness for the sins of the previous year and the year to come. It is a day when prayers are answered and good deeds carry special weight.
The tenth day of Dh\u016b al-\u1e24ijja is the Festival of Sacrifice (\u02bf\u012ad al-A\u1e0d\u1e25\u0101), which marks the culmination of the pilgrimage and commemorates the sacrifice of Prophet Ibr\u0101h\u012bm (peace be upon him). This day symbolizes profound spiritual meanings\u2014selflessness, closeness to Allah, and total submission to His will.
Dh\u016b al-\u1e24ijja is also the month of the \u1e24ajj pilgrimage, the fifth pillar of Islam. The \u1e24ajj is the pinnacle of faith\u2014a declaration of the oneness of God, a renunciation of worldly concerns, and the unification of Muslims from all over the world regardless of status, origin, or language.
This month offers a yearly opportunity for renewing one\u2019s faith, self-reflection, purification of the heart, and strengthening one\u2019s relationship with Allah.
