Every human being longs for safety and peace. Without it, life loses its meaning, faith weakens, and relationships fall apart. Security is one of God\u2019s greatest gifts \u2014 a blessing that protects our faith, life, property, and dignity. Imam al-M\u0101ward\u012b once said:
\u201cKnow that the world is kept in order by six things: a followed faith, a powerful ruler, justice, public security, continuous sustenance, and broad hope.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the Qur\u2019an, God reminds the Quraysh tribe of how He protected them:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\u201cLet them worship the Lord of this House, who has fed them against hunger and secured them from fear.\u201d (106:3\u20134)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
He also says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\u201cHave We not established them in a secure and sacred sanctuary to which are brought fruits of every kind as provision from Us? But most of them do not know.\u201d (28:57)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
And Prophet Abraham \u2013 peace be upon him \u2013 prayed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\u201cMy Lord, make this city secure and keep me and my sons away from worshipping idols.\u201d (14:35)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
Security is the soil on which faith grows. When it disappears, fear spreads and destroys everything that gives life its purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\nWhat the Prophet \ufdfa Taught About Security<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The Messenger of God \ufdfa emphasized the immense value of security:
\u201cWhoever wakes up in the morning safe among his people, healthy in his body, and with food for the day, it is as if he owns the entire world.\u201d (al-Bukh\u0101r\u012b)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\nHe also encouraged us:
\u201cSpread peace among yourselves, feed others, pray at night while people sleep \u2014 and you will enter Paradise in peace.\u201d (at-Tirmidh\u012b)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\nSecurity \u2013 A Goal of Divine Law<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Islamic law (Shar\u012b\u2018ah) aims to establish safety and peace in every aspect of life. Imam al-Ghaz\u0101l\u012b described its main objectives as the protection of faith, life, intellect, property, and lineage. All religions share these values and protect them through their teachings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\nA Safe Society \u2013 A True Home<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Social security means that people feel accepted, respected, and protected. It flourishes where society is built on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Compassion<\/strong> \u2013 the vulnerable are not neglected but supported.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Justice and respect<\/strong> \u2013 everyone is treated fairly and has a chance to thrive.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Trust and brotherhood<\/strong> \u2013 relationships are based on respect, not fear.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Mosques play a vital role in this. They are not only places of prayer but also centers of spiritual peace and community support. In difficult times, they become a source of strength and protection for the entire community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\nInner Peace as a Foundation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Security is not only about society \u2014 it is deeply personal. A child finds safety in the embrace of its parents, and adults seek it in their families, friendships, and the systems that protect them.
Those who strengthen our inner peace include the just ruler, the wise scholar, the loyal friend, kind neighbors, and those who uphold order and law.<\/p>\n\n\n\nWhen the heart is filled with a sense of safety, the world transforms \u2014 even ordinary things like birdsong or the scent of flowers become reminders of God\u2019s presence and fill life with meaning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\nFinancial Stability \u2013 A Part of Peace<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Security also has a material dimension. A person feels stable when they can provide for themselves and their family in a lawful way. God has given us the earth and its resources to use wisely and responsibly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The path to financial security includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Work and effort:<\/strong> \u201cHe is the One who made the earth subservient to you, so walk in its paths and eat of His provision.\u201d (67:15)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Planning and good management:<\/strong> using what we have wisely and seeking new opportunities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Saving:<\/strong> preparing for the future while knowing that provision ultimately comes from God.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Moderation:<\/strong> using God\u2019s gifts without waste and without injustice toward others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Believers should strive to balance their needs with the needs of others \u2014 even in everyday things like water, electricity, or food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\nConclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Security takes many forms \u2014 spiritual, psychological, social, and financial. Through justice, cooperation, wise use of resources, and trust in God, we can build lives that are peaceful and meaningful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
