The Islamic Foundation in Prague wishes all Muslims all the best for the Eid al-Fitr holiday and its beautiful experience. It announces:
Precise astronomical calculations regarding the beginning of the month of Shawwal for the year 1445 Hijri confirm that the new moon will occur at 18:21 GMT on Monday, April 8, 2024, i.e., the 29th of Ramadan 1445 Hijri, i.e., at 21:21 local time in Mecca. Therefore, the crescent moon cannot be sighted on Monday, April 8, 2024, in any part of the world with the naked eye or through telescopes and monitoring devices.
